I believe the beauty of pregnancy should be celebrated!

While pregnant with my son 30+ years ago I wanted something special and different to document my pregnancy only to find that maternity portraits were NOT a socially acceptable niche.

With the help of my husband I set up a white paper background, wrapped my body in a white bed sheet while exposing my very pregnant belly, loaded my Canon A-1 35 mm camera with black and white film and created some of my most cherished portraits and memories. 

These images are just a few of the ones we created that day, and unfortunately through several house moves, I cannot find the negatives. 

What I do have are glossy 3.5x5 prints that I photographed digitally for you to see and even though they aren't perfect technically they are to me...STILL!
